First Movement Music Academy has proudly served Sunnyvale and the greater Silicon Valley community since 2010. We offer high-quality private music lessons and engaging group programs for children, teens, and adults.

Founded by musician, educator, and parent Sue Yang, FMMA was created to make music education inspiring, personal, and meaningful. Our experienced faculty provides age-appropriate instruction tailored to each student’s learning style, experience, and goals. Our early-childhood programs also incorporate movement, sensory play, art, and eurhythmics to help young children explore musical concepts through joyful, hands-on learning.

Whether students are discovering music for the first time, preparing for examinations and performances, or returning to music as adults, we help them build strong musical foundations, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
